ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the prevalence of depressive disorders among school students aged 6-16 years in Beijing, the effect of age and gender on the prevalence, and the behavioral and emotional profiles of identified students with depressive disorders. Methods:The prevalence of depressive disorders in primary and secondary school students aged 6-16 years in Beijing from January 2012 to December 2014 was examined by a multistage stratified random sampling method. In the first stage, the Achenbach′s Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) was used to identify high-risk children and adolescents. In the second stage, the high-risk group was further screened by Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview for Children and Adolescents (MINI-KID), and then two psychiatrists made the final diagnosis according to the diagnostic criteria of the fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-Ⅳ). This study was a prospective epidemiological investigation. The effect of age and gender on the disease prevalence was analyzed by Chi- square test. Results:About 2.29% (234/10 215 cases) of the school students aged 6-16 years in Beijing had depressive disorders. The incidence of depressive disorders was 1.80% (106/5 866 cases) in boys and 2.94% (128/4 349 cases) in girls. There is an age effect on the prevalence of depression. As the age increases, the morbidity of depressive disorders increases. The age of 12 years was a critical turning point, and the peak incidence was reached at around the age of 15 years. The emotional and behavioral problems of patients with depressive disorders mainly include social problems, withdrawal depressed, anxiety and depressed, somatic complaints, and aggressive behavior. Conclusions:The prevalence of depressive disorders among school students aged 6-16 years in Beijing is 2.29%.Depressive disorders occur in primary and middle school students of all ages.More attention should be paid to the mood of students before and after the entrance exams for junior high school and senior middle school, especially the girls′ mood.In the process of screening, diagnosis and treatment of depressive disorders, the atypical symptoms of depression need to be paid more attention.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the pathogen spectrum distribution and drug resistance of febrile neutropenic patients with hematological diseases in Shanghai.@*Methods@#A retrospective study was conducted on the clinical isolates from the febrile neutropenic patients hospitalized in the departments of hematology in 12 general hospitals in Shanghai from January 2012 to December 2014. The drug susceptibility test was carried out by Kirby-Bauer method. WHONET 5.6 software was used to analyze pathogenic bacteria and drug susceptibility data.@*Results@#A total of 1 260 clinical isolates were collected from the febrile neutropenic patients. Gram-positive bacteria accounted for 33.3% and Gram-negative bacteria accounted for 66.7%. Klebsiella pneumoniae (12.5%) , Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (9.5%) , Escherichia coli (9.1%) , Pseudomonas aeruginosa (8.7%) , Acinetobacter baumannii (6.6%) , Staphylococcus aureus (5.6%) and Enterococcus faecium (5.0%) were ranked in the first 7 of all pathogens. In the respiratory tract secretions specimens, non-fermented strains accounted for 56.2%. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia accounted for 15.2%. Enterobacteriaceae and coagulase-negative Staphylococci accounted for 42.3% (104/246) and 32.6% (85/246) respectively in blood samples. Enterobacteriaceae and Enterococcus bacteria accounted for 39.4% (76/193) and 28.5% (55/193) respectively in pus specimens. The detection rates of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin resistant coagulase negative Staphylococci (MRCNS) were 54.3% and 82.5%, respectively. Staphylococcus bacterial strain was not found to be resistant to linezolid, vancomycin and teicoplanin. The detection rate of Enterococcus vancomycin-resistant strains was 8.9%. Enterococcus was not detected resistance to oxazolidinone strains. Enterobacteriaceae bacteria were highly sensitive to carbapenems. The resistance rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to imipenem and meropenem was 34.1% and 15.8%, respectively. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia was more sensitive to minocycline hydrochloride, levofloxacin and sulfamethoxazole. The resistance rate of Acinetobacter baumannii only to cefoperazone-sulbactam was less than 10.0%. The antibiotic resistance rate of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumanii to most of common antibiotics was lower than that of the CHINET surveillance.@*Conclusions@#The pathogenic strain distribution in common infection sites of febrile neutropenic patients was characterized. Bacterial resistance surveillance was better than the CHINET nationwide large sample surveillance in China.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Human placenta is a stable source for human amniotic epithelial cells, which is becoming a cellsource in the regenerative medicine that attracts widespread attentions.OBJECTIVE: To establish the method of isolation, culture, and adipogenic, chondric and osteogenic differentiationof human amniotic epithelial cells. METHODS: Trypsin-EDTA digestion was used to isolate human amniotic epithelial cells from human amnion tissue, which were then cultured and identified in vitro. The growth curve of the cells was observed in 12 days. Passage 1human amniotic epithelial cells were induced to differentiate into adipocytes, chondrocytes and osteoblasts, andconventional cultured cells were used as controls. After 16 days induction, oil red O, Masson and alkaline phosphatesstaining methods were carried out, and adipogenic transcription factor, type Ⅱ collagen, osteopontin, alkalinephosphatase mRNA expressions were detected using real-time fluorescene quantitative PCR.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Human amniotic epithelial cells were successfully obtained from human amnion tissue.Immunofluorescence data showed the expression of epithelial cell surface marker CK19. Passage 1 cells had a strongability to divide and proliferate. Compared with passage 1 ones, passage 2 cells showed a slight decrease in proliferationability, and the proliferation ability of passage 3 cells was the worst. Red lipid droplets, brilliant blue cartilage matrix andreddish brown calcium nodes were detected by oil red O, Masson and alkaline phosphates staining after adipogenic, chondrogenic and osteogenic differentiation, respectively. With the time prolonged, the expressions of adipogenictranscription factor, type Ⅱ collagen, osteopontin and alkaline phosphatase mRNA were increased. These resultsdemonstrated that human amniotic epithelial cells could be isolated from human amniotic membrane by enzymedigestion method, and these amniotic epithelial cells could be induced to differentiate into differentiate into adipocytes, chondrocytes and osteoblasts.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the drug sensitivity of human lung adenocarcinoma stem cells (LASC) to cisplatin (DDP) and carboplatin (CBP). Methods:Human lung adenocarcinomaic cells SPC-A1,AG,and CPA-Y2 were treated with DDP and CBP. The cell viability of cells was detected by CCK-8 assay. The phenotypic characteristics of drug surviving cells(DSCs)were determined by immunofluorescence staining. The LASC population was then separated by magnetic-activated cell sorting method. The LASC in DSCs was traced by using green fluorescence protein (GFP). The drug sensitivity of DSCs to DDP and CBP was analyzed. Results:The LASC exhibited the phenotypes of bronchioalveolar stem cells (BASC, OCT4~+CCSP~+SP-C~+). After mixture of CD221~+LASC with CD221~-lung adenocarcinoma differentiated cells, the DSC population showed OCT4~+BASC phenotypes. These DSCs were significantly resistant to DDP and CBP.Conclusion:LASC has a high resistance to DDP and CBP. This may be the reason for tumor recurrence after chemotherapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of fleabane injection on serum level of D-dimer, fibrinogen and hypersensitive C-reactive protein in patients with IgA nephropathy and to explore the mechanism of fleabane injection for treating IgA nephropathy. Methods 29 patients with IgA nephropathy were given fleabane injection together with routine treatment. Another group of 28 patients with IgA nephropathy were only treated with routine treatment as con-trol. Determinations of 24 hours urine protein output(24HPQ), serum level of D-dimer(D-D), Fibrinogen(Fib) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) were carried out pre- and post-study. Results Significant decrease in 24HPQ , serum level of D-D, Fib and hsCRP were observed in both treatment group and control group(P <0. 01 ~0. 05), but more significant in treatment group as compared with control group ( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Flea-bane Injection plus routine treatment could significantly decrease 24HPQ in patients with IgA nephropathy, and this maybe contribute to regulation of D-D, Fib and hsCRP by fleabane injection.
